Everyone has that "It's better the book" friend (I know you nodded!). But let's talk about it.
If you've read my bio, you already know that I've started with writing and not with videomaking, that means that I was the it's-better-the-book friend.
Yeah, because books are so full of beautiful sentences, adjectives, great metaphors (the ones well written, obviously), it's a pleasure to read them!
But here's the thing: movies can be read too.
Your favourites sentences, adjectives and metaphors are simply called script, scenography and montage - and I'm always talking about the well written movies! ;).
If you love cinema, I'm probably talking for no one 'cause you already know these things, but it's SO important not to be extremists in this topic (well, guys, just don't be extremists in your whole life, please! :P) that we need to repeat it till the end.
If you are one of those book-extremists: take your prejudice off, it's heavy. I know how a book feels like, I know its flavour, I know how it smells. But films are so interesting to read! Try to understand how that particular chapter is narrated visually. I know, a film will never be like a book: simply because they are two different ways of expression. A poetry will never be as a painting, but a painting can easily represent a poem in a single drawing. Just... look closer!
If you are one of those film-extremists: you're missing the other side of the moon.
Just... GO fucking READ something.
